# Moca Chain Architecture Overview

# How Moca Chain Works

Moca Chain is built on the **CometBFT (Cosmos)** framework with Ethereum Virtual Machine **(EVM) compatibility** based on EVMOS and integrates with its own decentralized data storage network based on BNB Greenfield.

## Key Components

Moca Chain's architecture primarily comprises two interconnected components:

1. **EVM-Compatible Blockchain**
2. **Moca Chain Storage Providers (MCSP)**

These elements work synergistically alongside the account & credential services powered by AIR Kit to provide secure, scalable data management and identity verification.

## Integration and Operations

Moca Chain's components integrate to form a cohesive system:

* **Consensus and Security:** Validators use PoS to secure the network, challenge data integrity, and govern parameters.

* **Cross-Chain Programmability:** EVM support allows smart contracts to interact across chains.
